Colombian Coffee and Colombian Milds are incredibly rich, full-bodied coffees….
Colombian Coffee Beans are produced from both Arabica and Robusta beans. The term Colombian Milds refers to Washed Arabica, which are wet-processed. The washing process removes impurities and acids to give the coffee a rich medium body with bright acidity.
Colombia is the world’s largest producer of washed coffee beans, which signifies a high quality level. The nation is also the second largest producer of coffee worldwide, with 12% of world production, following Brazils 30% of world volume. Colombian producers are dominated by farms of less than 5 acres. In comparison to other countries, such as Brazil, this means that there is greater attention paid to the quality of each bean by the indiviual farmers. It needs to be said that many small growers can also mean that quality between them will be different. Don’t think that all beans have been created equally. You may need to shop around a little to find the right Colombian beans for you.
